NEW YORK — Pornhub announced the launch of “Classic Nudes,” an interactive guide to discover and learn more about erotic art in some of the world’s most famous fine art museums.

The campaign features artwork at the Louvre and the Musée d’Orsay (France), the Metropolitan Museum of Art (U.S.), El Prado (Spain), the Uffizi Gallery (Italy) and the National Gallery (U.K.).

“With museums finally reopening around the world as pandemic restrictions are being lifted, Pornhub wanted to do its part in stimulating the public to visit, explore and fall back in love (or lust) with these cultural institutions,” said a rep.

The public can tour each of the six museums either in person or at home via the Classic Nudes mobile website.

“Simply visit the Classic Nudes website on your device, select your museum, follow the map, locate the artwork, and listen, read, or watch along to its curated content,” the rep explained. “The online portal guides visitors past the SFW masterpieces and gets right to the good stuff: representations of the naked body in all its artistic glory.”

Hungarian-Italian artist and porn performer Cicciolina stars in the promotional video for Classic Nudes. Pornhub Brand Ambassador Asa Akira serves as “orator” for the campaign, providing an “oral history” of 30 erotic art pieces in this curated collection.

Pornhub pro-am couple “MySweetApple” brings six of the iconic artworks to life, including Jan Gossaert’s “Adam and Eve,” Edgar Degas’ “Male Nude,” Gustave Courbet’s “The Origin of the World,” Francisco de Goya’s “The Naked Maja,” Titian’s “Venus of Urbino” and François Boucher’s “The Brunette Odalisque.”.

“There’s a treasure trove of erotic art around the world depicting nudes, orgies, and more that’s not available on Pornhub,” said Akira. “These pre Internet art pieces are currently sitting in museums, which we are now finally able to start visiting again as COVID restrictions are starting to lift. So as people start to head back to the Louvre or the Met, they can simply open Classic Nudes, and I’ll be their guide. Time to ditch those boring self-tour recordings and enjoy every single brushstroke of these erotic masterpieces with me.”

Classic Nudes follows previous art-oriented campaigns from Pornhub including the recently launched “Remastured,” an initiative that used modern A.I technology and machine learning to restore and colorize century-old erotic films.

Previously, the company commissioned contemporary art gallery Maccarone Los Angeles to present a feminist art show entitled ‘The Pleasure Principle,’ a multigenerational, sexually-charged exhibition of female artists “whose work centers the erotic and disrupts the processes of content-cleansing that code certain images as profane, abject, or pornographic,” said the rep.

Pornhub’s “Classic Nudes” campaign is a collaborative initiative with creative agency Officer & Gentleman.

LOS ANGELES — Twice-crowned and reigning XBIZ “MILF Performer of the Year” Cherie DeVille has published a new article in defense of the adult industry by calling out a recent article by Olivia Petter for Glamour magazine that blames society’s gender gap problem on “pornographers failing to create videos showing women orgasming.”

The performer refutes Petter’s assessment that “porn never shows female orgasms,” and notes Petter used short clips of “free porn to come to this conclusion,” noted a rep. “As with any industry, porn follows the capitalist model of supply and demand, and Cherie discusses the amount of money men spend. In her succinct and smart rebuttal, Cherie urges women to be empowered to purchase the porn that they want to see, and how the industry will follow.”

DeVille asserted that she is “passionate about smashing stereotypes,” particularly when they involve her adult industry colleagues, and bestowed upon Petter the “Sex Worker Fearmonger of the Week Award.”

“While I respect other opinions, Petter is only basing her opinion on a small segment of free videos available,” DeVille said. “As with any business, money talks and I’d urge Petter and anyone who reads her article to take a look and buy one of the thousands of videos that show female enjoyment to its fullest.”
