LOS ANGELES (November 19, 2015) – Acclaimed film “Marriage 2.0,” from LionReach Productions and Adam & Eve, is nominated 18 times for the 2016 XBIZ Awards. The nominations include Feature Movie of the Year, Director of the Year – Feature, and Best Actor and Best Actress – Feature.

“We set out to show that the adult industry is capable of producing movies that rival mainstream productions on every level and provide a visceral viewing experience that is unique to adult cinema. We made that movie…. and it’s different from everything before it,” stated nominated screenwriter Magnus Sullivan. “It’s nice to be recognized by the brainy folks at XBIZ.”

The movie’s nominations include: Best Actress – Feature Release for India Summer; Best Actor – Feature Release for Ryan Driller; Best Supporting Actress for Nina Hartley; Best Supporting Actress for Dylan Ryan; Best Supporting Actor for Mickey Mod; Best Non-Sex Performance for Carol Queen, Emily Morse, Reid Mihalko, and Christopher Ryan; Best Scene – Feature Release for India Summer and Ryan Driller; Screenplay of the Year, Magnus Sullivan; Best Cinematography, Alex Ladd; Best Art Direction, Best Music, Best Editing, Paul Deeb; and Marketing Campaign of the Year.

“The sheer number of nominations, distributed across the breadth of cast and crew, testifies to the inspiring talent, skill, and commitment of every member of the ‘Marriage 2.0’ family. I’m honored to be included in their company,” said nominated director Paul Deeb.

Earlier in the year, “Marriage 2.0” was named Movie of the Year at the 2015 Feminist Porn Awards and Best Narrative at the 2015 CineKink Film Festival. The movie features sexual performances from adult stars intertwined with a compelling story about a restless couple at an emotional crossroads.

“We had a lot of faith in the movie, as well as the talent of Magnus Sullivan and Paul Deeb to create a great film that would leave people talking,” said Adam & Eve Director of Business Development Bob Christian. “With an amazing cast and a lot of gifted people behind the camera, I think we showed the type of strong, engaging narrative the adult industry is capable of producing.”

In his review of “Marriage 2.0,” XBIZ Editor Dan Miller hailed the film’s pioneering approach to filmmaking: “Fueled by rich visual storytelling, superlative acting, and a prevailing feeling of authenticity, director Paul Deeb’s “Marriage 2.0” shows just how deep adult cinema can go with the right mix of talent and imagination.”

Iconic sex educator and filmmaker Tristan Taormino discussed “Marriage 2.0” on her VoiceAmerica™ radio show, “Sex Out Loud.” Taormino said, “It’s different than anything out there…There’s really strong acting…[The actors] have taken their craft to a whole other level…The cinematography is absolutely stunning. This has the production values of a mainstream film and even better than many independent films…Spectacular!”

“This film is a legitimate achievement,” wrote SFist.com contributor Joe Kukura. “[It] is easily the most sophisticated and relatable modern film on the topic [of polyamory].” Kukura also dubbed “Marriage 2.0” “the ‘Citizen Kane’ of porn” in an article for BrokeAssStuart.com.

Gareth May, a contributing writer for British lifestyle and culture site TheDebrief.co.uk, described “Marriage 2.0” as “a potential game changer for the porn industry.” May wrote, “The movie is most remarkable for its limited use of hardcore sex…’Marriage 2.0’ is a very different kind of porn film.”

“Marriage 2.0” features performances from adult entertainment stars, such as India Summer, Ryan Driller, Dylan Ryan, Nina Hartley, and Mickey Mod, along with appearances from internationally renowned sex and relationship experts, such as Emily Morse, Chris Ryan, Marcia Baczynski, Carol Queen, and Reid Mihalko.
